You can have a blog section on a website, or an account on a blogger website. Blogging on your own website, as long as it's loosely relevant to the content of the website can be very good for the websites ranking.

To the left is an image of this blog being written.

Well it’s like a page of a website, when it’s posted on a person or companies website, or normally like a diary when its on someones blogging account, on a separate blog page. You can have a blog section on a website, or an account on a blogger website. Blogging on your own website, as long as it’s loosely relevant to the content of the website can be very good for the websites ranking. You can have a link to your blog, like the “Andy’s News Blog” link on the right, or have the last blogs as snippets on a menu, or the subjects you blog about to click.

When you blog, you’re telling a story or delivering advice mostly, but some can be a dairy of recovery from illness, daily life or a chance to tell the world your good or bad journey. You can also use this to tell your business events and day to day (or weekly) discoveries, succeses and findings, sharing with others. You can use this as an opportunity to rate your products, services and staff in public way.

But why?

A blog page endorses the fact that your website is regularly updated and your customers/followers can see that, as well as Google knowing this too (good for rankings). You can promote your ethos and values for customer connection as well as making it something to keep looking back at when you are updating, as a diary for yourself. One of the best examples of blogging we have on our account (websites made) is http://www.treeshepherd.org.uk/ and you can see his archives of blogs on the right. This does him very well as it endorses what he does.

We promote the use of WordPress for our websites that we make, as this is a blogging platform, that we make in to an attractive website. The fact it’s a blogging platform, that it is made to be indexed by Google and it’s very easy to updated not only the pages, but the blog too makes it easy to train people to use ongoing.

With a blog you can add tags, to let the search engines, and readers of the blogs, see what the blog is about and chase keywords that you highlight from your blog. You can also help Google with dictating what it shows in its very own home page for your blog – Your article blog is found by Google in its own right! Just the same as a page, a blog article comes up in the search results – so get blogging!

You can learn more by checking out our YouTube Channel or buy a website from us and received 2 hours training as part of the package. By the way – this is a blog, not a page on the website!

Steve has a log in and adds his blog from time to time from his office in the Waterfront building.

Business incubators are programs designed to accelerate the successful development of entrepreneurial companies through an array of business support resources, networking & services, developed & orchestrated by incubator management.

The domain was purchased on Wednesday 1st Feb and the website was propagated over the next week or so. We don’t let things hang around at YoungVoice and I promised all that he needed, would done within a few days and it was.

Steve didn’t want to have to pay any monthly fees, so a deal was stuck for a one off payment to cover this.

Taster Sessions for Prospective Students At The Eastern Enterprise Hub

I have just found out and had confirmation that The Eastern Enterprise Hub are recruiting for new students to follow the School for Social Entrepreneurs – East, courses including a year long Fellowship Programme and the Lloyds Banking Group Social Entrepreneurs Programme. Very limited funded places, along with start-up and scale-up grants, are available and you need to make sure you find out more and quickly.

All SSE-East students have to have an idea for a social enterprise business and this is the very same course I have done. Over the year long term business ideas are refined into sustainable, market ready social enterprises and this is the very programme that I am on at the moment. It gave me improved business knowledge, confidence and connections to take my new business idea forward to the next stage and was the reason that YoungVoice has been so successful.
The learning style suited me as it was learning through doing. All our sessions are led by business leaders, entrepreneurs and expert practitioners in a wide range of business disciplines. I was also luck to have been given Chris Bally from Suffolk County Council as my mentor, giving me a path, direction and some fantastic networking opportunity’s, as did the hub itself.

To find out what being a student with the Hub is like, they are holding three taster sessions, over the next few weeks, at the Eastern Enterprise Hub in Ipswich and you can click the date to book.

Celia Hodson is leaving the Eastern Enterprise Hub

The news came this week that Celia Hodson is leaving the Eastern Enterprise Hub and as one of the Social Entrepreneurs benefiting from the Eastern Enterprise Hub and Celia Hodson as the founding chief executive I felt compelled to blog today.

Celia is the clear message and focus of the Eastern Enterprise Hub clearly leading from the front and passionate about the good that the hub does, the people and image portrayed. While I am sure the hub, the school and the lovely people that facilitate, administrate and support the hub will continue to grow it will surely be a different place without Celia.

I sincerely hope that the current high standards will stay, reflecting the high quality space the hub is located in. If the new company structure and people that replace Celia at the hub, live up to the passionate, powerful, professional, driving inspiration we have all been used to at the hub, it will be a tall order and I wish Celia well with her new move to AUSTRALIA and joining the global social enterprise development movement!

The Eastern Enterprise Hub has so far helped to create 38 new enterprises with a combined turnover of £21.5million and Celia can be proud to have been the founding chief executive of all this good stuff!

Six hours of training,

Today was an exciting day as we tested out what we can deliver in one day, a short day at that. Tom came in and did some training on a new, clean and un-started WordPress website and made it into something complete. Then he also installed a Theme and completely re-hashed the look and feel of other websites using the WordPress theme we chose.

He learnt eleven skills during his short day and we measured the impact of six hours of training, taking up an hour and a half of my time to service this training, while he used the one of the PC’s here in the training room at YoungVoice.

We showed him -

WordPress log in and adding users and access levels

Setting up the initial look and feel of a WordPress site

Installing Plug In’s

Adding pages to the website

Amending pages to the website

Adding a blog entry

Amending a blog entry

Adding Images and Gallery’s

SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) during build

Adding widgets and implementing them

Installing interaction between website and social media

We measured and managed to increase his understanding of the above by 212%.

Tom is a website developer stating ”I have been using just HTML & CSS to create my websites, and haven’t actually used a content manager which is definitely needed”. We have taken a young website designer and empowered him with WordPress and you can see his blog about the day on our website.

The thank you from Tom was very appreciated and I even managed to do half an hour on VAT, invoicing, credit control and book-keeping with him for his own business venture.

Thank you Tom for being such a polite visitor – 7/10 for your flying too.

A platform for Young People with Autism, ADHD and Mental Health Issues to develop short pieces of film to show others what life is like for them.

We made the website for Annie Clements from Asdat as she wanted a website that the young people can log in to and amend elements of the website themselves.

Young people have access via a log in set up by one of the young people that administer the website.

Andy did four one to one sessions for the administrator to enable him to them look after the website. Andy also did a half hour group session on how to blog making sure they all understood he could see their work from his office and they had to make a commitment!

WordPress suits Annie so well that she is commissioning another website at the moment, for another project she has.

Websites for Business

We make websites for Business and make sure we understand your venture fully.

Are you a solar installation company looking for a new website?

We make websites for business. When you buy a website for your business it funds a website for a young person.

Andy comes from the solar installation business and knows the solar installation industry language, buyers language and websites. This means buying a website from Andy Proctor, YoungVoice, means your installation website will be found by the target market you are trying to attract.

Whenever as website is made, it’s as vital as the look and feel that the developer understands the market you are trying to attract, the language you need to use and just what result you need – Raising the profile of the brand, selling a service, selling and product or lead generation. All of this is important in the build and we can connect your business with the target audience you seek.

Don’t have a website made by a developer that makes smart websites – Use a smart developer to make your solar installation website that looks smart!
